Bronso Vernius was a nobleman of House Vernius. He travelled to Arrakis and allied with the Fremen, becoming known as Zantara the Lion.

Zantara was tasked with searching for Alnaëm by Stilgar after his disappearance.[1]
Awakening[]
Zantara lead attacks on the Harkonnens during the War of Assassins. He destroyed the last phased iron refinery in the Northern Precinct of Carthag and the last facility that produced and tested Las-Barrels. [2] He saved The Prisoner from a wreckage and sealed them in a cave to keep them safe while they recovered, reminding the offworlder that they owed him their life.[3] The Prisoner can choose to be guided by Zantara or go by themselves. If they choose to follow Zantara, he will instruct on the process of building a Maula pistol[4]. Later, The Prisoner is asked by a villager in Harko Village to kill Zantara and bring them his head. The Prisoner can choose to go through with it, or leave him alive.[1]
