Sardaukar Bashar in the 2021 film, played by Neil Bell
An unidentified Bashar was commander of the Sardaukar troops who fought alongside House Harkonnen against the Atreides on Arrakis. Although his men wore the Harkonnen livery he was easily recognized as one of the Sardaukar as he had the typical hawk-like features usually associated with the men of Salusa Secundus.

While unnamed in the original Dune, the Sardaukar commander was named Jopati Kolona in Expanded Dune works by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
In the 2000 miniseries the character is portrayed by Pavel Cajzl (as "Sardaukar Captain") and in the 2021 film by Neil Bell (as "Sardaukar Bashar").
In 2024's Dune: Part Two, Steve Wall portrayed a Sardaukar Bashar. It is unknown whether he is supposed to be the same character as the one portrayed by Neil Bell in Part One or a different one.
