Expanded Dune

The Three Martyrs were Serena Butler, Iblis Ginjo, and Manion the Innocent. After Ginjo's death in The Machine Crusade, their followers were known as Martyrists. They were an ultra fanatical sect of the religion of Saint Serena, and would throw themselves at Thinking Machines with little more than rocks and clubs.
The Martyrists were quickly absorbed into the Cult of Serena under Rayna Butler.
