The Throne of Dune was to be the third novel of the Heroes of Dune tetralogy set of books by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. Originally named Irulan of Dune, the book was retitled in March 2009. It was expected to conclude the story arc begun in 2009's The Winds of Dune.

Originally planned for a 2011 release, the book was officially cancelled in July 2010 after months of speculation. The novel may be completed after the Schools of Dune series is finished, however that would place it outside the current contract so this is uncertain.
