In Paul of Dune (novel), by Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson, Thalidei is the location of the failed Kwisatz Haderach experiment initiated by the Tleilaxu Masters. Their super-being clone construct Thallo, ended up trying to commit mass genocide and suicide, by flooding Thalidei with a deadly nerve gas.
