Sumi (d. 203 BG) was the Magnus of Giedi Prime prior to the Butlerian Jihad. The Magnus was a thin man in late middle age with pale skin and gray-blond hair that hung to his shoulders.
He welcomed Tercero Xavier Harkonnen during his inspection tour concerning the defenses of the League Worlds against the machines. He was very welcoming and cordial and invited the officer to feasts and bals, which the Tercero denied due to his eagerness to return home.
Sumi was killed by Agamemnon soon after the planet occupied by the machines.
