The planet Kaitain, former capital of the Corrino Empire, was attacked by Jihadi troops and devastated, then conquered by Fedaykin forces led by Stilgar, who included Orlop and Kaleff, the sons of Jamis. The noble leaders who did not surrender with sufficient promptness were garroted.
When Paul Atreides arrived on the desolate Kaitain shortly after, he allowed the former Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV's Palace to be demolished and destroyed by the over-eager Fremen, the news of which he knew would spread throughout the galaxies as a warning to rebels.
