Rugi Corrino was the youngest daughter of the Padishah Emperor Shaddam Corrino IV and generally regarded as the most talented and intelligent of his children.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Rugi's mother Anirul did not care for her and paid her little attention.
Later life[]
Rugi had claimed not to trust her father's closest friend Hasimir Fenring. Following the death of her father in 10202 AG, she fled Salusa Secundus for the Bene Gesserit Chapterhouse on the planet Wallach IX. She remained under Bene Gesserit protection until 10205 AG, when she married the Duke Alberne Moritani and moved to his planet Grumman.
Life on Grumman[]
Rugi thrived under the protection of the wealthy House Moritani. She was known for developing the arts scene on Grumman, creating a 'Golden Age'. Rugi established a museum, exhibitions, and a performing arts program. She enticed other wealthy families on Grumman become involved in the regional arts of their own areas and was credited with introducing the works of Harq al-Harba to Grumman. She bore a daughter, Amertine Moritani Harkonnen, and a son, Armund. As she was the wife of a powerful Duke and the daughter of the late Padishah Emperor, Rugi was afforded freedom to travel throughout the Known Universe with little restriction. She enjoyed observing the Regency of her sister Irulan and the regency of Paul Atreides' sister Alia, even living long enough to see the early reign of the God Emperor Leto Atreides II. She recorded her observations and insights into their behaviour into her diaries. Rugi died in 10722 AG.
