Projectile weapons, usually firing miniaturized poisoned needles, bolts or darts, were part of the common armament of the House Troopers and other military forces of the Imperium.The technical revolution caused by the introduction of the Holtzman Shield had made projectile weapons largely obsolete, but still they were favoured by soldiers in place of the more dangerous Lasgun.Also repetative projectile weaponry was still installed on most military Groundcars, Thopters, Flyers and even Spacecrafts.
