The Prince Royal is the eldest son of the Padishah Emperor and the Padishah Empress of the Known Universe and the firstborn Imperial Crown Prince— a title granted for life and used only after it has been specifically conferred by the Imperial Sovereign that once ruled over the Old Galactic Padishah Empire.
It has passed down from the longest reigning Corrino Empire to the short-lived Atreides Empire.
