Plaster Basin was a geographic basin on the planet Arrakis.
It is known as the place of death for Imperial Planetologist Pardot Kynes. A cave-in at Plaster Basin was responsible for killing Kynes, thereby passing on the mantle of Planetologist to his son, Liet Kynes.
