- "How else is he supposed to woo the Atreides girl? The boy can barely write his own name. As discussed previously, we three have authored the letters, and it is up to Cyprian to 'personalize' and sign them. A small task, even for him. The Atreides girl will not be able to resist."
- ―Orilis Io to the Prisoner[src]
Orilis Io was the grandmother of Cyprian Io.
Biography[]
Awakening[]
Orilis Io was in The Salusan Bull with Ilith Richese and Morwena Hreg when she was approached by the Prisoner. She was asked if they were from the Planetologist Office, as she was getting annoyed. They replied that they were not and she could not hear them, hence she engaged her enhanced hearing, declaring it the only thing the Tleilaxu were good for. She bragged that her grandson Cyprian was the Imperial Planetologist on Arrakis. She asked to know if he had been making time for his correspondence with Ariste Atreides in order to woo her, explaining that she, Ilith and Morwena had written the letters.[1]
