His name was copied from two characters ([[Hwi Noree]], [[Moneo Atreides]]) in the fourth Dune book: ''[[God-Emperor of Dune]]''. Despite the fact that the video game [[Harkonnen]] Mentat, [[Hayt De Vries]] was based on [[Piter De Vries]], Moneo was nothing like [[Thufir Hawat]] (except the uniform). Noree Moneo was energetic, more active. He was played by John-Rhys Davies. The character never appeared again.
