Mesopotamia was a land region on Earth between the rivers Tigris and Euphrates, on the continent of Asia, in an area once described as the Middle East, on Old Earth
The land was fertile, and rich in sedimentary soil, which was deposited by waters from the rivers and their tributaries; even though the surrounding area was typically arid, being the Arabian Desert.
