Biography[]
Awakening[]
Marika Dennick found her husband Duv attempting to repair the water recycler, which he christened "Betty", and told him that it was too old and needed to be replaced. His attempt to repair it failed and she suggested he ask Frank for help, only for him to remind her that the last time Frank had helped had been a disaster.
Their daughter Juni asked them to keep it down, as she was trying to listen to her shows on the Communinet Radio. Marika suggested that she do it outside and keep an ear open for wormsign. Duv stated that Sandworm activity had been up 9000% since Zantara took out the Shield Wall, to which Marika asked how Zantara had done that in one day when it had taken Duv six months to build a shed. He resented that comparison, as Zantara was an enemy of the Imperium, which Marika found to be an appealing idea for sexual roleplay, disgusting Juni.
Duv's mother then attempted to chase a Sandworm away. Marika suggested that they charge the Sandworms five Solari per trip through Graben, which Duv replied would allow them to buy a new groundcar. They later learned that a new security inspector, Rix, would be sent to Depot 12 after the previous one had to spend three weeks in a tranquility pod.[1]
