- ―Derek Chinara to the Prisoner[src]
Liet-Kynes was a planetologist.
Biography[]
Background[]
Liet-Kynes was born to the planetary ecologist Pardot Kynes and a Fremen woman. Liet later followed in their father's footsteps by becoming a planetary ecologist. They contacted Derek Chinara on Kaitain and asked for his assistance with a terraforming project, which he accepted. However, Liet was lost in battle before Chinara arrived and replaced as planetologist by Cyprian Io, the great nephew of Padishah Emperor Shaddam Corrino IV.[1]
Awakening[]
Derek Chinara told the Prisoner of his work with Liet when they approached him at his camp.[1]
Notes and Trivia[]
- Though Dune: Awakening takes much influence from Denis Villeneuve's Dune, it is unclear if this version of Liet-Kynes is male or female, as they are never referred to with gender-specific pronouns.
