Emperor Kenric III al-Kam,[1] also called Kenric the Clever,[2] was Emperor of the Known Universe (r. 2395–2411 AG).[1] Kenric was a grandson of Emperor Ismal Kenric II.[1]
Kenric became emperor in 2395[1] after a revolt of the imperial household staff deposed the regent Harmhab Menemtahe VI.[2] Kenric ordered that Harmhab be planted in a street up to his neck, and passers-by be offered the opportunity to saw on his neck with a piece of paper.[2] Kenric also restored the titles and estates of Duke Demetrios XVII Atreides, who had been stripped of them by Harmhab.[2]
Kenric was succeeded in 2411 by his daughter Alia II.[1]
