Background[]
Kaylen Shiff served Lord Petrum until she killed him, for which she was placed in the slave pens on Giedi Prime.[1]
Awakening[]
Shiff was later chosen to compete in the Harkonnen Family Games alongside Amado Delsin, Hollow Tom, an unnamed Fremen, the Grey Lady, Poyko Nen, the Morani Twins and Kanto. They were placed in the Grand Arena, which had been made into a labyrinth. Once the compeition began, she avoided a deadly pitfall trap and took down a cave lurker with a well-aimed shot from her needle gun. She avoided several more traps before she and Nen reached the Abyssal Chamber, where they circled each other over the bottomless pit. She fired at his with her needle gun, but he deflected them with his makeshift shield and retaliated with a swift strike from his dagger. The brutal showdown continued until Nen threw his weight against her and sent her falling into the pit.
Shiff survived the fall and climbed back up the pit. Upon reaching the top, she attacked the Fremen, who moved with almost supernatural speed and impaled her with his crysknife.[1]
