Katarina Harkonnen (d. 217 BG) was the wife of Ulf Harkonnen and the mother of Piers and Xavier Harkonnen.
She was too gentle a soul to bear a Harkonnen name. Her eldest son and heir to the family took much from her, to his father's dismay.
On the family's way to Salusa Secundus, Ulf scorned his son for his humanistic views towards the slaves which would harm the business. The family space yacht was attacked by Agamemnon and another six cymeks. Katarina secured Piers in a lifepod, but it was too late for his parents and both perished in the explosion.
