Chief Jarrick Thorne was a character in Death on the Titan.

Jarrick Thorne was the crew chief on the Sand Titan. During his tenure on the ship, he received minimic films containing secret messages from House Atreides. Thorne had a romantic relationship with shift supervisor Lena Orlov. He was on bad terms with engineer Tessa Lim and deckhand Riko Marr, the latter of whom Thorne had a physical confrontation with after learning that Marr had been skimming unprocessed Spice. Thorne died in suspicious circumstances and his remains were found by Orlov, having been pulverised by the mechanical separator.[1]
