House Halleck was a House Major during the Atreides Empire. Gurney Halleck, a General of Emperor Paul Atreides, was a notable member of the House.

Following Paul-Muad'Dib's ascension to Padishah Emperor of the Known Universe, Gurney was granted a CHOAM directorship and the Earldom of the planet Caladan.^[1]

Gurney was later given command of the planet Giedi Prime, the former homeworld of the Atreides rival House Harkonnen, who had murdered his sister and used Halleck as a slave. Halleck renamed the planet Gammu.^[2]
