A Guild Heighliner (Miniseries)
A Heighliner was a starship used by the Spacing Guild to transport people and equipment across the known universe.
Guild Heighliners were usually immense in size, upwards of twenty kilometers in length.
Spacing Guild Heighliners could be used to fold space to travel vast distances across the universe in an instant. They were piloted by Guild Navigators and Steersmen. Heighliners do not, strictly speaking, move in the literal sense, being far too massive to fly under their own power, but instead follow a pattern of fold jumps from planet to planet. There, the Heighliner's passengers make their way onto the craft via shuttles and other craft, which are held in the ship's massive docking bay.
