Gurney Halleck’s sister died in Harkonnen pleasure camps on Giedi Prime, some time before Leto Atreides I rescued Gurney. These events were core to his hatred of the Harkonnens. [1] While watching Paul Atreides train on Caladan shortly before departure to Arrakis, he remembered her sister liking a type of flower and was bothered he couldn’t recall the name. [2]
