Overhead battle

Centuries before 10191 AG[2], Padishah Emperor Frederick IV challenged 3 Great Houses, House Atreides, House Harkonnen and House Ordos to compete for the right to mine the Spice Melange on Arrakis, giving governorship to the victor. The Mentat Noree Moneo strategised for the Atreides. The Mentat Hayt De Vries strategised for the Harkonnens. The Mentat Edric O strategised for the Ordos. The Emperor intended for the 3 houses to weaken each other during the war so he could send in his Sardaukar and finish them off permanantly. Depending on which House the Commander leads, there are 3 different endings (6 counting failures however these cannot be Canon as Frederick is dead in Emperor: Battle for Dune), all ultimately ending in the destruction of the Emperor's palace.

History[]

Atreides[]

The Commander lead Ornithopters with the Fremen on an attack on the Palace and was victorious. Lady Elara Moray Trieu fled the palace before it was destroyed.

Ordos[]

A saboteur blew up the Emperor's palace and Elara stabbed Frederick with the Gom Jabbar, killing him.

Harkonnen[]

Tanks and Devastators launch an attack on the Emperor's palace. The Death Hand is fired and the Palace is destroyed. The Imperial Truthsayer used the Voice to make the Emperor send the Sardaukar into battle, letting the Harkonnens easily dispatch them.

  1. House Corrino is in power so it's post Battle of Corrin (I.E 88BG).The years of treason have to be at least 2 and It's basically impossible for 3 Frederick's and the brother of Fredrick IV to only have all ruled in less than a year so we can assume Frederick came to the throne at the very earliest 85BG and the game is said to take place centuries before Dune (novel) so at least 9991AG.
