Elara Tuek was a smuggler and a contact of Count Hasimir Fenring.

Background[]
During her childhood, Elara's father would buy her kittens, which he imported from offworld at great expense. However, the environment on Arrakis was inhospitable for the kittens and they always died as a result.[1]
Awakening[]
Elara Tuek was approached by the Prisoner in Hannivar's bar in Harko Village. They used a series of hand gestures they were shown by Count Hasimir Fenring to prove that they were trustworthy. She constantly addressed the Prisoner as "kitten", due to her belief that like her childhood pets, they would not last long.[1]
