Biography[]
Awakening[]
Eamon was a fifth-born cousin of House Atreides. He attended the War Gym at Cala City where he trained to join the House Guard of Duke Leto Atreides alongside his friends Taron and Lyra. They were antagonised by a group of cadets led by Aiden, who constantly insulted them. They were assigned to the Peak of Valor challenge, a two-day endurance test to plant their flag at the summit of Mount Syubi. As they neared the summit, Lyra fell to a ledge below and told Taron and Eamon to leave her behind, but they refused and rescued her. Aiden's group reached the summit first and planted their flag, but despite their loss Eamon and his friends felt pride in doing the right thing.
Eamon was approached by Taron and Lyra the day before their graduation and they informed him that they had seen Aiden stealing a code book from the commandant's office. Eamon remembered his older brother telling him of an infiltrator from House Harkonnen in their class and concluded that it was Aiden. They informed the commandant, who had Aiden and his group arrested for espionage and treason during the graduation ceremony. As it was wartime, the commandant invoked kanly and killed Aiden and his group be slashing their throats. He then commended the graduates, declaring them the future of House Atreides. Eamon, Taron and Lyra were then assigned to Arrakis.[1]
