Dune mega-cd

The Dune video game (1992), was the first video game to be made about the Dune Universe, and it was notable for its mixture of tactical and adventure gaming genres.

Heavily inspired by the aesthetics of David Lynch's Dune movie, it allows the player to control Paul Atreides in his exploration of Arrakis and control of the Fremen teams who will work for him. All these must be done while also defending them against the Harkonnen offensives and also steadily keeping the Emperor Shaddam Corrino IV supplied with an ever-increasing tribute of spice.

Developed by Cryo Interactive and released by Virgin, it was followed by an unrelated sequel, titled Dune II.
