Dune 7 was the working title for the concluding chapter of the entire Dune series. Penned on a computer disk in the 1980s in outline form by original Dune author, Frank Herbert, the work was never completed due to Herbert's untimely death in 1986.

The disk was discovered by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, as they were searching through Brian's father's belonging in 1997. When the books were finished and released in 2005 and 2006, they were subsequently entitled Hunters of Dune and Sandworms of Dune.

Hunters of Dune takes place immediately after Chapterhouse: Dune, the sixth book in the Classic Dune series, hence the working title, Dune 7.

Collectively, they are known as the Sequels of Dune.
