Dakkar was stationed alongside many other Sardaukar on Arrakis during the War of Assassins to ensure that production of the Spice Melange continued uninterrupted.[1]
Awakening[]
Dakkar travelled by Ornithopter alongside two of his fellow Sardaukar to investigate a distress signal from the wreckage of the Proteus. The other 'thopters were shot down and he emerged alone, where he found the Fremen outlaw Zantara and the Prisoner. Recognising Zantara, he mockingly told him that he had watched his men take their last tortured breaths on the walls of Arsunt. The two then fought and while Dakkar managed to wound Zantara's leg, the Fremen stabbed him in the torso and caused him to fall to his knees before slitting his throat.[1]
