Choda was a person known to Alia Atreides from her Other Memory. He was most likely a teacher of the Zensunni. Choda's admonition to the Zensunni was quoted by Alia: "Leaving the ladder, one may fall upward!"
Notes[]
'Choda' may be derived either from a Persian word meaning "God" or a Hindi pejorative term for "Son." It may thus be possible that Choda was not himself a man or one of the Zensunni, but was instead one of their names for God.
