Chalice Corrino

Princess Chalice Corrino is a fictional character in the Dune Universe.

She was the second daughter of the 81st Padishah Emperor Shaddam Corrino IV and Lady Anirul Corrino, and the first younger sister of the Emperor Paul Atreides's legal concubine, Empress Irulan Corrino.

Life As A Corrino Princess

Chalice was born at the Imperal Opal Palace on the planet Kaitain in 10,164 A.G..

When the Princess was at the age of nine or at least twelve years old, her mother was killed by the Harkonnen Mentat named Piter de Vries while she tried to rescue the infant na-Duke from being adbucted off-world and slained.

A few years later, by the time her father's Sardaukar armies were defeated by the Fremen troops on Arrakis, she followed in exile when they witnessed seeing Paul murdering the young na-Baron Feyd-Rautha Rabban Harkonnen at the throne room of the Arrakeen Palace.

And she died unexpectedly here on Kaitain or maybe Salusa Secundus during her late teens or mid-twenties.

Some people suspected that one of her sisters, Wensicia was probably responsible for her untimely death, but the mystery case has to be solved.
