Cale Boyter is an American film producer who began his career as an assistant at Paradigm, and then worked up from the ground floor at New Line, starting as a reader and rising to executive veep of production who oversaw such films as Elf, Wedding Crashers, A History of Violence, The Butterfly Effect and Journey to the Center of the Earth. He then went onto move to MGM as exec veep and supervised Hot Tub Time Machine and The Cabin in the Woods. His Disruption projects included the Guillermo del Toro-directed Pacific Rim alongside Mary Parent.[1]

Boyter was nominated for an Academy Award in the category Best Picture for the film Dune: Part One.[2]
In 2019, it was announced that in addition to Dune: Part Two being produced by Boyter and Denis Villeneuve, the sequel would be produced by Mary Parent as well.[3]
