The Pug in Paul's arms
The Atreides Pug was the dog of the Atreides family in Dune (1984 film). It was evidentally much loved as Leto Atreides held it as his family departed for Arrakis. During the Siege of Arrakeen, the pug scurried in the hallway, narrowly avoiding a blast from the House Harkonnen. Gurney Halleck charged into battle with the Pug safely in his arms. Presumably, over the 2 years that Gurney was apart from Paul, he kept the dog safe. The dog was present when Paul confronted Shaddam IV on Arrakis. Kaleff held him whilst Paul dueled Feyd Rautha.
