The Ancient Wars were a series of devastating conflicts which took place before and during the Butlerian Jihad, which turned entire solar systems into rubble and dust. The Hrethgir Rebellions and the war of attrition between the League of Nobles and Synchronized Empire were both most likely Ancient Wars, although this connection is never directly made.
