Analog was a magazine where Frank Herbert published his initial stories Dune World and The Prophet of Dune which were later collected into the single initial novel in the series, Dune. After the sequel Dune Messiah was serialised in Galaxy Science Fiction rather than Analog, Analog serialised Children of Dune in 1976.
