Emperor Alman IV[1] was the fifteenth Emperor of the Known Universe (r. 345–362 AG). He was the great-grandson of the eleventh emperor, Estil I,[1] and possibly usurped the throne from his predecessor, Wensic I.
In 346 AG, Alman IV executed Thomas II Atreides and attained Jaddua and a planetary fiefdom. Jaddua and the planetary fiefdom had been granted to the Atreides in 207 AG by Emperor Elrood II (of the House of Saluso Corrino), as a reward for their aid in deposing Estil I and securing Elrood II's accession.[2] Alman IV's rise to emperor marked the return of Estil's line, the House of Alman Corrino, to the throne.[1]
Alman IV ruled until 362 AG, when he was succeeded by his brother Wallach I.[1]
