Acolyte was a term used by the Bene Gesserit Sisterhood referring to trainees.
Bene Gesserit acolytes were usually young women or adolescent girls who were being trained in the Bene Gesserit ways. Often they would serve as assistants to Reverend Mothers, or undertake various labours on Bene Gesserit planets.
