Paul having empty eye sockets after the stone burner attack is such a cool visual, I really hope we see it in the Villeneuve film. The miniseries just gave him black eye sockets and from what it sounds like the Lynch film was gonna do that too. Getting to see Timothee with prescient powers and missing eyes is such an awesome visual.

Deadline is more reputable but this still isn't any more official than what came before. The article still says 'sources have confirmed' like every other article reporting on this, theres still been no official confirmation luckily. Still holding on hope they're not casting a nepo baby to play the most complex role in the entire series

It Hasn't been announced yet. I think they're set to start filming this year so probably 2026 or 2027. I feel like it's a bit of a mistake to not take a bigger break in between, no idea how they're gonna handle a teenage Alia when everyone else looks the same age. They might not but I doubt they'd cast such a big name and not use her.
Right now, many pages have boxes that say 'For the character from the 2021 series, see...'. I think it would be good if we expended these to note the David lynch and miniseries versions too, as they now have distinct pages. Perhaps this could be expanded into a proper template like the one for different continuities. I wouldn't know how to go about this though. What do you guys reckon?

Just thought I’d let the admins know that the template at the bottom of the expanded dune pages links to ‘sands of dune’ which is a page about the sands of Arrakis rather than ‘sands of dune (book)’ which is about the Brian Herbert/Kevin J Anderson novella collection. Page didn’t exist before but I just made it 👍

Yep, alia is born, the timeskip still happens, paul and chani's first child dies and i'd say it's the most book accurate version of the baron

The sci fi channel mini series since children of dune is a sequel to it 👍Hope you enjoy. Maybe try reading the books after if you like them, messiah is probably my least favourite but I love children of dune.

Like you said, if you don't wanna waste too much time on a story you already know, look up 'scyfys dune in 3 hours' for a shortened version

The series is definitely solid but you need to watch the first dune series first if you've only seen the films. The films have a few major differences and I think you'll get more out of it if you've seen the first.
